Are you staying safe, New York?

Since none of you New Yorkers are going anywhere, and presumably ConEd hasn’t turned off your power yet if you’re reading this, perhaps you could use a little entertainment?
The above video Daily Show from 1999 features a youthful Jon Stewart improvising his way through an episode taped during Hurricane Floyd, which similarly had the city staying put. They had no script, no rehearsal, and what sounds like the crew of the Soupy Sales Show in place of an audience. It’s well worth watching the remainder of the episode on the Daily Show site just to see correspondent Vance Degeneres in a dress.
UPDATE 10/29 1:30 p.m. ET: The Daily Show and the Colbert Report have cancelled their Monday tapings, but are still scheduled to tape on Tuesday. Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will tape, with SNL’s Seth Meyers in place of previously scheduled guest John Goodman. The Late Show with David Letterman will also tape as scheduled, however no word as of yet regarding any guest changes.
